More is more.

When it comes to jewelry, I definitely  have gone through (and continue to go through) my fair share of "phases".  Statement necklaces, Arm Parties, Simple Studs, Delicates, Silver Tiffany & Co pieces, etc. and lately I am finding myself in a brand new phase that I am calling, "the more rings, the better"!  I have always had a tiny little collection of dainty rings that I've acquired over the years, and on a recent trip to Kohls I hit the jackpot when I came across Lauren Conrad's jewelry - cue my latest obsession! Her current line features every color and style of rings from silver to rose gold, thick bands to thin, midis to sets - you get the point! Did I mention how affordable they were? You can find these little guys just about everywhere at just about every price point from crazy expensive to dirt cheap.

It all depends on what mood I am in, but lately I find myself wearing the same "stack" that looks a little something like this

Also, I have found that stackable ring sets are the best deals-or should I say steals.  Not only will you get more for your money, but most sets include different designs and colors so you can always change up your stack depending on your mood and the rest of the jewelry you are wearing!

Does anyone else share in this obsession of stacking-and if so, where are your favorite places to find these babies?

Splurge vs. Save - Moto Boots!

I have been searching for the perfect pair of Motorcycle style boots for the Fall to pair with leggings (mostly) and skinny / ripped jeans.  Three things were on my check list  - They had to black, they had to be short and I didn’t want a high heel.  I found these but wasn’t excited about the price point.  Then, on a recent trip to Loft I spotted these babies - Link! and was relieved to not only see them priced at practically 1/10 the price of the Golden Goose ones, but the whole store was 40% off! *Hint - they run sales CONSTANTLY, if they aren't on sale when you want to buy them, hold off…trust me, it won't be long until they are on sale.  I grabbed a size 8.5 and fell in love as soon as I put them on.  Not only are they very comfortable, but I love that they have an almond shaped-toe, I think it makes them dressier than your average moto-style boots and less like a combat boot.  I couldn’t keep these to myself and had to share them with you!  The leather on them is extremely soft and they have a suede upper.  They are also available in full Suede and gold hardware for anyone not a fan of leather - Link!. Throw these on with leggings, a crisp white tee and your favorite leather jacket and call it a day!

Golden Goose Leather Short Biker Boots                                        Loft Moto Boots

What is your favorite way to accessories boots in the Fall?

Meals for the Mini!

Before we jump into food, I just want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to all of you for being so kind and encouraging, supportive and sensitive to my feelings.  You all have confirmed over and over to me that I did the right thing by sharing my story.  The emails, comments, messages, songs, bible versus, prayers - it has all been the most overwhelmingly positive experience that I never expected.  I have said it before, but I'll say it again - The Internet can be such a scary and negative place to be (especially for personal things people go through), but you have all seriously made it the best place imaginable for me.  I wish I could respond to each and every one of you followed up with the biggest hug you have ever received.  Please know that I have read and continue to read every.single.message. you have left for me.  You will all never know how truly touched I am and how much you have all helped me along in my journey.  I will be forever grateful.

Now lets talk food!  Ever since I posted my "Weekly Meal Ideas" video, I have gotten asked to share what Addison typically eats too.  And I will be the first to admit that I LOVE these kinds of posts on other Mommy blogs I read. I'm really lucky that Addison is such a great eater, it saves me tons of time and makes it easier on me that I don'tt have to cook separate meals for her. There really isn't anything this girl doesn't like or won't eat.  So I thought I would share with you some ideas of meals she has.  If you guys like this, let me know and I will keep posts like this one coming ;).  *Note that a lot of these were from a a couple months ago in the heart of the Summer, hence the seasonal fruits/veggies.  I am so late in posting this!

Breakfast - We don't stray from the usual too often (except on the weekends when I make pancakes or frenchtoast).  During the week It usually looks something like this:

1. Scrambled Eggs, Toast, Blueberries

2. Scrambled Eggs, Avocado, Banana
3. Scrambled Egg Whites, Tomatos, Avocado
4. Oatmeal w/ Strawberries & Blueberries

Eggs or Oatmeal, always with a side of fruit and I switch it up between toast, yogurt and avocado. I make her cinnamon toast and she also loves my cinnamon raisin bread.

Lunch - This is always the challenging meal for me, so please do share if you have some better ideas! Sometimes its leftovers, but most days we alternate between lunch meat (I always buy Applegate Naturals Ham or Turkey) / grilled cheese / pb&j or her new favorite jelly & cream cheese sandwiches, with sides like hummus/veggies, avocado, fruit and yogurt.

1. Almond Butter & Strawberry Jam, Cheese, Carrot Sticks & Hummus
2. Sliced Turkey, Cottage Cheese, Avocado, Cucumbers & Tomatos
3. Turkey, Cottage Cheese, Pita & Hummus
4. Tuna, Avocado, Black Beans & Cantaloupe

Dinner - She eats whatever I make for myself, so this changes constantly (and you may see some similar meals pop up in a video of mine coming up).

1. Grilled Chicken, Yellow (green) Beans, Cucumber / Tomato Salad w/ EVOO & vinegar
2. Turkey burgers (w/cheese) with an avacdo/yogurt dressing, corn on the cob, brown rice.
3. Rotisserie Turkey, Peas & Carrots
4. Whole Wheat Pasta with grilled chicken and my homeade gray (sauce).

Snacks usually include yogurt (I buy Stonyfield's YoBaby/YoToddler), applesauce, puffs, cheerios, the new Smuckers Fruit Fulls that is is CRAZY for or fruit. She also really loves smoothies.

I welcome more ideas or if you have a blog where you post ideas, please share it!

Finding Joy in the Journey.

This post is a hard one.  This is not something I EVER thought I would be speaking about, let alone writing a blog post for and sharing with the Internet.  I have gone back and forth about my decision to share this with you all for months.  As most of you know, I tend to be a very private person when it comes to my personal life.  So naturally part of me feels like this isn’t something that I should talk about, or feel the need to explain to anyone outside of my family and friends.  But the other part of me wants to share it because I have been at this for 7 years and appreciate the kindness, and support I have received.  In a way I feel responsible to share this because it is such a huge thing and not just a small little detail about my life.  This has completely rocked my world to say the least, and to go on pretending as if this is not the case just feels wrong.  Like one giant lie-and to be honest, I’ve been part of more lies than any one person should be in a lifetime.  I also feel as though this may help others who are going through or have gone through a similar experience.  One of the biggest blessings of being on You Tube for so long is the have the amazing support that I receive.  With support, comes so many others who can relate.  I have been told that I have helped others when they have been through rough times, and now that I am experiencing this, I am in turn leaning on you all for support.  I knew that once people started catching on to some changes (not wearing my ring, new filming set-up, lack of videos, etc.) there would be questions.  And I knew that if I didn’t say anything and chose to ignore them, they wouldn’t go away.  I understand that people are curious-a little nosy if you will and I totally get it.  But rather than people speculating, or assuming to know what is going on, I would rather have the chance to explain it myself.

I am getting a divorce. The words still feel so unreal and honestly scary to even see them written out.  Never in a MILLION years would I have believed a single soul if they told me that at 29 years old, I would be a divorced, single Mom of a 1 year old and having to start my life all over again - from scratch.  But here lies my reality - and the truth.  Four months ago, I discovered that my husband of 2 years (we had just celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary the week before) has not only been lying, but involved in an inappropriate relationship for the last 4 years of our life.  My husband, my best friend, the guy that I was madly in love with, committed myself to in front of our closest friends and family, had a child with, the guy I was supposed to grow old with, suddenly became a stranger to me.  I didn’t even recognize him anymore.  To say that I was blindsided would be putting it lightly.  Most women in my shoes start to see signs, feel the distance, catch their partner in lies.  Not this girl!  Nick has been leading a double life and he became a professional at it.  Out of respect for our daughter, as bad as this guy has hurt me, I don’t have it in me to nail him to the cross so publicly with all of the super fun details.

I never claimed to have a perfect life - but I would be lying to you if I said I didn’t think I had a great life.  A life that I thanked God for each and every night and a life that sometimes I would cry at night over after hearing from others the hard times they were going through.  I didn’t feel like I deserved such a great life - at times it felt too good to be true and in the back of my mind, I always felt like a bomb was going to drop.  I’m calling it women’s intuition.  Well the bomb dropped….it crashed, actually and shattered my fairytale….and now I am working to put the pieces back together and keep moving forward.   I have been told by many that I am handling it extremely well, and while I can honestly say that I am in a really good place, this did happen several months ago and time has definitely done its part in starting the healing process for me.  I am not going to pretend that I haven't gone through some of the darkest days and truth be told, still have some occasionally.  To anyone else going through something similar - especially those who have just recently had their worlds shattered, please believe me when I say that I PROMISE you that life will get better.  The darkness will eventually fade and the sun WILL shine again.  It just may take a little while. In that while, don’t be afraid to grieve….afterall, it certainly does feel like a death.  A death of someone you thought you knew better than yourself, and in your heart and world is no longer existent.  Its ok to cry, scream, be angry, frustrated, have questions, doubt yourself, cry for days, etc.  I’ve been there.  I experienced all of those emotions and beyond.  And just when I think I am on my 2 feet again and fine….it hits me out of nowhere and the emotions start all over again.  However, time does heal and those "waves" become less and less and though I’m sure at times we all would love a fast forward button on life, unfortunately, they don’t exist.  Take advantage of time.  You have a second chance at life, at happiness, to correct the mistakes you have made, and to learn from them moving forward.  You are about to embark on a whole new journey, and start a whole new relationship-one with yourself.  It will teach you more about you and falling in love with who YOU are.  Enjoy it, start saying YES, take on something new, do things you have never done before, have FUN! I have been through hell and back the last several months - but I’m still alive, and I’m choosing to not let this one REALLY bad thing define me.  Truth is, Nick made the decisions he did…As a 35 year old adult, only he is in control of his decisions and his life.  No one forced him and no one told him what to do.  He decided and he acted.  I don't understand it, I can't explain it and to be honest, I don't think I ever will.  But I know now that its not for me to understand or explain.  Thats just Nick. I am saying this because if anyone is going through something like this, this is so important to note!  I need you to hear this.  IT IS NOT YOUR FAULT.  You cannot blame yourself and you don't have to understand it.  It will only drive you crazy and delay you from moving on with your life.  Its scary to not know what tomorrow will bring - but find comfort in knowing that tomorrow WILL come.  Every tomorrow is a chance for a do-over, a fresh start.  And with every tomorrow comes HOPE.  Hope that you will be happy again, hope that you will trust again, hope that you will one day look back at all of this as a blessing in disguise and just a “really hard time”.  Maybe it will become the turning point on your journey that is life.  The moment that you became an even stronger person than you imagined yourself ever being.  A month after everything came out, a very wise soul said something that has really stuck with me that I want to share with you all.  She said that though I may have thought of Nick as my soul mate and my forever - he may have just been a stepping stone for me to get to where I am going and ultimately where I am supposed to be.  I’ve always been a believer that everything happens for a reason….even really bad things that people can’t explain when they happen.  And I have to believe that God has bigger plans for Addison and I.  I trust in him and at the end of the day, its what gets me through each day, especially the really painful ones.  I am grateful that he is the one in control. And then there is Addison.  To consider her the biggest blessing in my life would be the understatement of the year.  She is my hero.  She has saved me from so much darkness and put the life back in me again.  I honest to God have no idea where I would be without her.  How a 1 year old can be this powerful little force in my life-without even knowing or trying is the most fascinating thing to me.  She is my angelbaby and I will be forever grateful to her for the blessing that she is and getting me through this.  I will be forever grateful to God for choosing me to be her Mommy and giving me the best gift I could ever have received-from anyone.  When I do experience bad days-she is my light. She is my joy and she is what pulls me through.  Seeing her smile, or learn a new task, say a new word or give me her sloppy open-mouth kisses…it sends chills down my spine just thinking about it all.  And more importantly, it reminds me how precious this life is and how some things just don’t matter.  She has taught me to laugh through tears and hold on to precious little moments, even when they happen at the worst times.  I have strengthened my relationship with God and look forward to this new force in my life.  My parents have been my saving grace….my Mom- I can’t even begin to describe just how amazing she has been.  She is there at the drop of a hat without me even asking.  Not only has she been the biggest help with Addie but she has been my best friend and confident.  The amount of support I have received from my family and friends is something I will never be able to repay.  I always knew I had a great family and amazing friends…but this whole thing has really made me realize just how blessed I am to have the support system I do and I don’t take it or any one of them for granted.  Every single one of them have dropped everything to be there for me, sometimes even just to let me cry, scream and vent to.  The reason I am saying all of this, is again for anyone else going through this.  Don’t be afraid to ask for help.  That is what they are there for.  And trust me, one day, you will be there for them to return the favor.

I apologize for the crazy long post, and I thank you for reading and for all of your support.  Like I said, I have gone through some pretty dark days, and reading your comments and emails even in the last 4 months always manage to put a smile on my face.  You guys have helped me through so much, and without even knowing, or trying.  I can’t thank you enough and I wish I could personally thank each and everyone of you that have been something positive for me.  I would love to be able to return the favor to anyone who would allow me.  If you guys ever need to talk, vent, or just a friend to talk to, I am here.  Don’t be a stranger. You will get through this, you will be ok - in fact, you will be even stronger and happier, I promise.  If there is nothing else in this life that you can count on to get you through, you will always have time.  That is the one thing that without fail, you can ALWAYS count on.  If there is anything I’ve learned in all of this its that life isn’t a fairytale…..and I’m starting to be ok with that.

Allegresse 24K Gold Golden Touch Night Cream

When I was contacted by the folks at Bibasque asking if I would be interested in trying products that contain 24K gold, I couldn't respond "YES" fast enough!  24K GOLD people!  I love the jewelry, but I never knew I could actually WEAR it-like on my face!  I have been using this religiously at night for 3 weeks now, and I am quite impressed both with the product and the results!  The most noticeable effect is how my skin looks & feels in the morning.  To say it feels like silk would be an understatement.  It literally feels like I went to sleep and had a facial done and woke up with the awesome results you can expect from a good quality facial.  Smooth, perfect-looking and blowy skin that is as soft as a baby's bottom.  My skin also appears smoother and evened out as well.
The consistency of the product is a thick, rich cream that glides on effortlessly.  Its almost as if I want to keep adding more (don't be fooled, a little goes a long way), it feels that good. It also has a very soft and subtle, yet extremely pleasant smell!

Aside from the 24K gold that it contains, it also includes botanical extracts, and different essential and natural oils.  A HUGE bonus is that it is free of parabens, mineral oil, sls, petroleum and synthetic color.  All of the yummy ingredients are said to help skin appear firmer, improve elasticity and lift your whole look.  All you have to do is sleep and the product does the rest.   The only negative I see is the price point, which is quite steep.   I know a lot of people are huge fans of La Mer's infamous cream, but I could never justify the price for a product that contains mineral oil.  Point being, if you are looking to treat yourself to a luxury face cream, make it one that is full of all the good things and free of all the bad.

Now for the BEST NEWS! Not only do I have a 50% offer code to offer my readers, but I am also giving one away for FREE!  Enter ALLEGRESSE50 at checkout for 50% off any order and you can enter the giveaway below and check back here in a week when I post the winner!!

Easy Summer Day.

Hello there!  Sorry for being so bad with updating lately.  I am making it a point to make this blog more of a priority and I have a lot of fun posts planned, so stick with me!

This outfit is my idea of a perfect one.  Easy, comfortable and it still looks put together!  When I want to dress-up a simple tee, a statement necklace is my go-to.  It gives a boring old shirt an extra little something and pulls it all together.  I have to HIGLY recommend these shoes.  As the Birkenstock trend is upon us, they are not something I can get into.  Both my Mom and Dad wore them years ago, and to this day, they just scream "old people shoes"!  My friend Dara recommended that I check these out as a more fashionable alternative, and I am so happy she did.  Not only are they incredibly comfortable, but the gold metallic helps them look more like stylish shoes and less like a pair you would catch on my Mom's feet!  Hope you all have a great day ;).

Things I'm Loving Lately - volume 1

Since I love doing monthly beauty favorites each month, I thought it would be fun to also cover some random "things" other than make-up that I have been a fan of recently!  Most of these became favorites on my recent vacation and I have new found appreciation for these fun accessories!

Kensie Biggie Caged Dress Sandals - Not only are these freaking SEXY, but they are super comfortable (after you break them in once) and go with EVERYTHING.  They also come in black, but I love the nude and have been pairing them with all my flowy maxi skirts.  I also plan on wearing them with my high waisted denim shorts and a cute top to dress up a casual outfit for girl's night out!

Louis Vuitton Toiletry Pouch 26 - I brought this to store all my make-up on our cruise, and it ended up doubling as an evening clutch for dinner!  I would have never thought to use this as a clutch unless the SA gave me the idea back when I bought it - Genius! I had my LV Eva Clutch packed originally until it dawned on me that I already had one packed.  Can't beat multi-function pieces when you are shelling out some cash.

Blair Ritchey LuLu Tassel Clutch - I have sort of a sick obsession with pouches.  I have about 3 in my handbag at any given time, had them in my diaper bag, use them for storing/traveling with accessories, and most commonly as an evening clutch.  The one I have is in a light nude metallic that I've had for years.  I used it almost every night for dinner.  Not only is it the perfect size for the necessities (lipstick, camera,mirror,tissues,cash/cards), but it fit diapers and my travel wipe container perfectly.  I also used this in my beach bag each day to hold all my personal belongings as well as sunglasses and sunscreen.  The tassel adds the perfect girly touch!

Mossimo Lula Flip Flops - Every year it seems (at least for the last 3 or 4) Target releases some version of these in different colors / jewels.  I have them in gold and rose gold and wear them interchangeably.  As a HUGE fan of Havaianas, it takes a lot for me to wear any other flip flops besides those.  Truth be told I reach for these a heck of a lot more than my Havainas since they are a bit prettier and more dressy.  I have had mine for years and they still look brand new.  Super comfy too!

Glamglow Thirstymud Mask - This baby SAVED me and my sun burnt face.  I fell asleep one day in the sun without putting any spf on (I didn't plan on being in the sun that long and as bad as it is, I wanted a little bit of color on my face, which seems to never tan). The next day, my face not only hurt, but it began to peel and let me just say...it wasn't pretty.  I was so glad I packed this little jar.  Instead of using it as a 10 minute mask, I actually used it as an incredibly thick and hydrating treatment 2 nights in a row and layered it on top of my moisturizer and slept with it on.  It worked wonders and really saved my whole face from completely peeling off-gross huh?!  This is a MUST for dehydrated / suntanned / peeling / flaky / dry / sensitive skin.  The application feels AMAZING, cooling and thick, but the results are even better!

What are your latest loves?

Addison's Easter Basket!

I just got done putting together Addie's Easter basket for Sunday and thought it would be fun to share with you the goodies I put in it  The Easter Bunny left her (he came a little early ;)) Though she may not quite understand Easter yet, I included things I know she will love and get a ton of use out of.
(All Easter is ON SALE - AND "KDRT-8XT8-MXMG will get you an additional 15% off through 4/17, so you can stock up for next year)!

I found this adorable Fairy doll at Buy Buy Baby when I was there for a shower gift last week. She has a few "dollies" that she sleeps with and carries around, but this will make for her first rag doll! It is super soft and made out of all natural cotton that is free of any toxic chemicals (there is a blonde one too!).

I always love an excuse to get her more books, as she loves when we read to her, especially now that she has learned how to turn the pages!

To fill her pretty Easter eggs, instead of chocolates and candy, we opted for yogurt melts and her favorite puffs (Plum Organics Strawberry & Beets), and a new hair wrap.  I hope you all enjoy Easter with the little minis in your life!

What kinds of things are in your love bug's basket this year?

My Love Affair with GlamGlow Supermud Mask

Where do I even begin with this product? After hearing all the buzz and rave reviews on this, I felt compelled to try it out for myself.  And so my love affair with GlamGlow's Supermud began....

The first time I tried this I saw immediate results - and that my friends, is something I can't say about too many products.  It has a spa-like menthol and black licorice smell which I really do enjoy (and I HATE black licorice).  I apply it with a flat synthetic brush and find that it helps to distribute the product more evenly and waste less.  Once you apply it, it immediately starts to harden (literally, good luck trying to smile) and dry.  It dries completely in about 7-10 minutes and as it starts to dry, the magic begins.    I was shocked  horrified to see the amount and size of the pores all over my face. I guess I never looked that closely to my skin before to notice them all, but after using this, well I am quite aware of their existence!  It wasn't even completely dried yet and BOOM they were everywhere!  Whats even better is the amount of dirt that came out of them.  While some may think this part is gross, I happen to love seeing the spots all over my face in a sick and twisted way.  It was fascinating and if I'm being honest-freaking AWESOME!

Taken right from GlamGlow's website - "NEW ACNECIDIC-6™4.4% the first 6-Acid AHA & BHA Blend for mind-blowing faster results. NEW Pore-Matrix™ with Activated-X Charcoal & New K17-Clay™ for deep pore vacuum extraction, encapsulation & seemingly poreless skin."

SPOILER ALERT - Scary Pictures Ahead....

Feel free to click on the pictures (at your own risk) to really get a close look of all the beautiful pores and dirt removed on my face thanks to this baby!  All of those "pieces" are who  knows what, but my guess is dirt, grime and everything else that has been stuck deep inside my pores for a long time.  After I rinsed it off with warm water, my skin felt super soft and very supple.  I couldn't wait to do it again and counted down the days for my next treatment.  I was even more amazed the second time around to actually see less dirt and smaller pores!  Needless to say, I am forever a fan and will continue to not only repurchase it, but shout it from the rooftops to everyone and anyone.  I've even gotten my husband hooked!  Oh, and if you can't a few days to do your next mask, you can actually use it as an overnight spot treatment - amazing!

Have you guys tried this? What are your thoughts?

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushes!

As soon as I heard Hourglass was set to release correlating blushes to their ever-so-popular Ambient Lighting Powders, I could not WAIT to get my hands on them!  They released 6 different shades of blush each of which has a corresponding lighting powder swirled in with color and baked.  They look very similar to MSFs from MAC. The packaging is a smaller version of the powders and set in gold rather than bronze.  To compare, each blush retails for $35 and contains .15oz., whereas the powders contain .35oz and retail for $45. I decided to go with Mood Exposure and Diffused Heat.  I thought these were the most "bang for your buck" as far as color payoff.

I use the Diffused Ambient Lighting powder on a daily basis (major HG status), so it was only natural for me to go with the partnered blush.  It is described as a "vibrant poppy" and let me tell you-it.is.freaking.gorgeous.  It is definitely one of the more pigmented of the 6 and gives off a very bright coral color on the cheeks.  I love that if it goes on a little too dark I can go right over it with the powder to "diffuse" the color and soften it a bit.  I have been waring it a ton, however I think it will look even better on sun-kissed tan skin.  Spoiler Alert - his will most likely be in every month's favorite's video throughout the summer!

Mood Exposure is a gorgeous deep neutral flush.  It is described as "soft plum".  However, it doesn't really read plum on my skin.  I would describe it as more of a dusty rose.  I would put it in the same family as Tarte Exposed or NARS Douceur.  I think it is a must have Fall / Winter color, but its definitely one I would feel completely comfortable wearing in the Spring and Summer.  I find myself reaching for this when I just want something more natural or on days where I want to skip the bronzer but still want some defined cheek bones.

It fascinates me that these blushes give off such a glow to the skin, without any kind of shimmer/glitter/satin finish.  I have been switching between these 2 for the last 3 weeks and have had no desire to reach for any other blush (and if you've seen my blush collection, you will know how serious my love affair is)!  I'm thinking I may need to go back for Radiant Magenta eventually, but I'm not really into the other 3.  I swatched the others in store and they didn't have a great color pay off  nor do I think they would show up too well on my skin-especially with a little bit of a tan.  If I'm paying $35 for a blush, you better believe I want the blush to actually show up!

Have you picked up any of these blushes recently? If so, which are your favorites?

BabyGAP Sale Haul!

We recently had a new Baby Gap / GAP Kids boutique open by our house, and this past weekend's gorgeous weather was the perfect excuse to go check it out (its at an outdoor mall).  By far, THE BEST selection I have ever seen.  I literally could have spent all day in there.  As much as I love Baby Gap, I find the selection in "typical" GAP stores to be quite blah, and therefore do most of my shopping there online. There were so many more pieces, a huge sale section and even a couple brand new collections that aren't even up online yet! Pretty much the whole store was 30-40% off, and I don't think I paid full price for anything-#winning! Here are some of the pieces I snatched up!

Mint Sweatshirt | Grey Skinny Jeans | Yellow Shopping Top | Star Lace Trim Leggings | Grey & Yellow Striped Top (sold out) | Grey/Eyelet Top (in store only) | Yellow Cardi (sold out)

Can you tell I am digging Yellow for Spring?  Addison has really dark hair (and LOTS of it), so yellow is one of my favorite colors on her and I absolutely LOVE it paired with grey.  I also recently picked up these adorable hair accessories from one of my favorite etsy shops to match some of her new outfits!

I hope you are all having a great week so far!  If you are in the Northeast, brace yourselves-apparently we're in for some more snow!

New Hair!

Ever since I started noticing less and less fall-out and shedding due to being Post-Partum, I couldn't wait to schedule a hair appointment.  The last cut I had was about a month after Addison was born and my ends were desperately needing some new life!  I also wanted to do something with the color since I haven't really touched it in YEARS.  A few box colors here and there, but I haven't been to the salon for color in what feels like forever!

I wanted something chocolatel-y brown, soft and most importantly subtle.  The thing I love most about my new color is that I won't have to worry about noticeable regrowth in a couple months.  It will grow out with the same ombre effect.  I can't tell you how much lighter and fresher the cut makes me feel too.  She actually cut about 2 inches, and after seeing how little it was, I asked her to go a little shorter.  I had her cut in long layers all around, which is normally how I have it cut, and Voila`!

When I asked Kristle about the exact colors she used, this is what she told me (literally, word for word) ;).  "Your color is a dark chocolate at the base to a light chocolate at the bottom.  Its a hand painted ombre crushed in foil, not a true baylage.  All color, no bleach lightening".  So there you have it!  If you guys live around the Lehigh Valley and are craving a new do' I would highly recommend giving Kristle a try.  And just a side-note, she does BEAUTIFUL up-dos, if you ever have a wedding/event to go to!  You can schedule an appointment with her at Apotheca Salon & Boutique.  Tell her I sent ya ;)

P.S. I often get asked if I am still getting Keratin treatments and the answer to that is no.  The last one I had done was probably about 2 years ago.  I honestly haven't felt like I needed one.  My waves really have relaxed and the frizz is pretty much non-existent.  Though I think I do have pregnancy to thank for that, I do attribute it to the 3 Keratin treatments I had done in the past.  I really feel like the results have lingered and really helped my hair for the better.  You can actually get them done at Apotheca as well.  They use the Simply Smooth line (the only line I have and would use). I had my second one done there and had amazing results!
